About

Club History & Founding Story

ACE Free Clinic at UCLA was born from a deep desire to bridge the gaps in healthcare access for the most vulnerable communities in Los Angeles. What began as a vision shared by a small group of passionate students quickly grew into a movement. We saw the struggles of the unhoused, the uninsured, and the underserved—people who often fall through the cracks of the healthcare system—and knew something had to change. With the belief that healthcare is a fundamental right, not a privilege, we set out to build a clinic that could provide not only medical services but also hope, dignity, and education to those in need.

From day one, ACE Free Clinic has been fueled by the energy and dedication of its members. Every clinic pop-up, every health screening, and every conversation with our patients reminds us why we do what we do. Our mission is more than just providing care; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of individuals who have been historically overlooked. Together, we are not just a student organization—we are a community of changemakers committed to reshaping what healthcare looks like for those who need it most.
